Kingibe: ‘I Don’t Need Anybody’s Permission To Embark On Projects’ – Wike

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has said beyond President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he doesn’t need the approval of anyone before embarking on any project.

Wike spoke on Thursday during the flag-off of Kwaita-Yebu Road in Kwali Area Council expected to cost N7 billion.

This is coming amid his rift with FCT Senator, Ireti Kingibe over her recent comment.

Kingibe had accused Wike of embarking on infrastructural projects that have no impact on the lives of FCT residents.

However, speaking during the flag-off, Wike said: “For those who are ignorant and don’t know what to say, that we are only doing roads, please let the people know that we are doing something.

“I don’t need to seek permission from anybody to tell him what projects I will embark upon.

“It is only the person who appointed me that I can seek such from and that is the President. So nobody can go on air and say they are not doing schools, I don’t need to come and inform you.”
