Khadiri Ikhana to Quit Coaching at the End of the NPFL Season.

Nasarawa United coach Khadiri Ikhana plans to quit his coaching career once his tenure with the Lafia-based club is completed at the end of the season.

Nasarawa United drew 1-1 against Akwa United at the Uyo Township Stadium on Sunday.

League leading top scorers in Mfon Udoh and Victor Namo both scored for either side.

The former Kwara United coach later told supersport.com that he is almost at the verge of guaranteeing the side a place in the Glo Premier League next season and does not plan to take up any coaching job from any side in the future.

“I won’t be coaching any other club side in the future, I think the younger coaches can take it up from where I stopped,” Ikhana said.

“Right now I am not even coaching Nasarawa United but offering consultancy service to the side which runs out at the end of the season, so I won’t be available for any club next season.

“I told Nasarawa people that their darling club won’t go on relegation but remain in the Premier League and five matches to go I think we’re almost there guaranteeing the side a spot in the elite league.”

Nasarawa United have earned 43 points from a possible 99 so far this season following the 1-1 draw at Akwa on Sunday.
