4 Africans make Forbes List of 2011 Richest Billionaires

Forbes Magazine recently released its list of billionaires for 2011. Four Africans made the list including Aliko Dangote, a Nigerian business tycoon who ranked 51 on the list with a net fortune worh $13.8 billion. This whooping sum was made from his trade in sugar, flour and cement.

Mexico’s Carlos Slim tops the list for the second consecutive time as Forbes Richest Man in the World with his total fortune worth of $76 billion. Slim added over $20 billion to his fortune during last year alone. He is followed by Bill Gates $56 billion and Warren Buffett – $50 billion.

The U.S. still dominates with 413 billionaires, Asia second with 332, 115 of which are Chinese.Europe has 300 billionaires and Middle East/Africa has 89.

New comers on the list include Mark Zuckerberg’s, Facebook developer and three of his co-founders.

  1. Well, thank God fo your riches. But here are the following questions for you: 1.Are your monies really made from the sources disclosed? 2. How many people can you point at that have benefed from your riches minding that to whom much is giving much is expected? 3. Where will all your monies be after death?

  2. What does it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and suffer the loss of his own soul. There are billions of children dying in Africa on a daily basis. If only these men can put their resources together, billions of lives will be saved. God enriches us to reach others. It is not for our use alone but rather touch lives with it. I pray that the put into good use all that they have achieved. Remember, it is all about lives out there.
