British schools unveil scholarship scheme

A SPECIAL scholarship scheme worth £150,000 for high-performing Nigerian students has been unveiled by Kaplan International Colleges.

The merit-based scholarship is opened to all Nigerian students admitted to study at Sheffield International College and Glasgow International College, both in the United Kingdom (UK).

In a statement made available to The Guardian in Lagos, Managing Director of KIC, Linda Cowan, said £500 would be awarded for every A grade and £300 for every B grade a student earns to a maximum number of six subjects.

Interested students, Cowan said, could liaise with KIC’s partners in Nigeria, which include Preparation For Life, Chris Enuke and Associates, Dave Abion Consulting, NUBI Educational Counselling, SOARS Educational Services, Harvestfield Educational Services, and CUPA Study Abroad Ghana.
