Real Madrid ace, Cristiano Ronaldo has promised not to celebrate if he scores in the Champions League round-of-16 tie against his old club.
The Portugese international enjoyed a six-year spell with the Premier League leaders before leaving them in the summer of 2009 for the Los Blancos, and he still has a place for his former club in his heart.
“I will not celebrate my goal if I manage to score at Manchester United,” Ronaldo was quoted as saying by AS after Thursday’s draw.
The 27-year-old who once described Sir Alex Ferguson as his “father in football”, has been in blistering form for the Jose Mourinho tutored side with 14 league goals and six in Champions League play.
Madrid were handed a starting tie with a home game on February 13, before the second leg on March 5 at Old Trafford.
