New Kaduna Governor Moves into Action, Fires 5 in Cabinet Reshuffle

Mukhtar-Yero-360x225The newly sworn-in governor of Kaduna State, Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, has sacked some members of the State Executive Council. DailyPost reported that the reorganisation had been expected and that all the five officials sacked were close allies of the late Governor Patrick Yakowa.

The development, which has been confirmed in an announcement by the state’s Commissioner of Information, Saidu Adamu, has the following as those who have been relieved of their appointment: Lawal Samaila Abdullahi, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Abokie Galadima, Chief of Staff Government House Kaduna, Reuben Buhari, Senior Special Assistant Media, Yohanna Allamagni, Principal Private Secretary, Engr. Bala, Political Adviser.

The statement added that the outgoing officials are to be replaced with: Hamza Ishaq Danmahawayi – SSG; Yahaya Aminu Chief of Staff; Ahmed Maiyaki Director General Media and Publicity to the Governor; Aliyu Samaila – PPS, and Garba Madami – Political Adviser.

The Commissioner, while thanking them for their service in office said that the Governor carried out the action in good faith.
