Former governor of Bayelsa State, Mr Timipre Sylva, has denied reports that 48 houses allegedly belonging to him have been seized by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on Thursday.
Speaking through his spokesperson, Mr Doifie Ola on Friday, the embattled former governor said that none of the properties has been seized by the anti-graft agency as he does not own 48 properties in Abuja or anywhere in the world.
Mr Ola further asserted that all the properties owned by his boss were properly declared as stipulated by law ahead of his swearing-in as the elected governor of the oil-rich state.
Mr Ola described the prosecution of the former governor as being politically motivated and that there is no court order directing the seizure of properties belonging to the former governor.
