It’s a shame if you don’t have confidence in the Super Eagles – Keshi

Stephen KeshiSuper Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi has expressed his disappointment at the love lost relationship between his team and Nigerians, describing it as “shameful and a pity”.

After being asked if he feels under-appreciated by the fact that his countrymen do not have confidence in his team, Keshi paused, looked up to the ceiling and said; “it’s a shameful thing if my nation do not have confidence in their team. I think it’s a pity. I have confidence in this team and we are ready for Sunday”, he said

The loss of faith in the Nigerian National Team is not a recent development. It is a thing that has gradually built up over the years, with myriads upon myriads of poor performances from the team. And, the manner in which the team started the 2013 Nations Cup has not shown Nigerians that there has been some form of improvement, hence the disinterestedness.
