The Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Tony Anenih, has openly made it known that the party is in need of the Jigawa State governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido.

Chief Anenih made the disclosure while paying the governor a visit in Dutse Government House, Jigawa. Anenih said “Lamido is one of the pillars of the party whose contributions would not ignored.” He also said he was in the state for a reconciliation mission among party members, adding that the challenges before the party necessitated the needs of Lamido and his like.

Accompanied by top members of the PDP, Chief Anenih said “the challenges we have now in the party made me feel that I needed you more than ever… we are here to pay respect, we believe in your good governance and leadership in the state.”

He continues: “we must thank for you for your contributions, commitments, loyalty and hard work, we are happy for what you are in the party… I read that you will defect to the ACN (Action Congress of Nigeria) or CPC (Congress for Progressive Change), but I did not believe it, because of your love, commitment and loyalty to the party. There was no time you talk of changing to another party,” the BoT chairman stated.
