The Federal Government has reiterated its resolve to provide at least 500,000 units of houses across the country by the year 2016.
Making the pledge at the Third Aso National Housing Exhibition & Conference in Abuja, Minister of Lands and Housing, Ms Ama Pepple added that the national housing deficit is presently estimated at 12 to 16 million units and the private sector is key in bridging this gap.
Managing Director, Aso Savings and Loans, Hassan Musa, said the massive housing deficit is an opportunity to pool resources together in achieving the common goal of providing affordable housing for Nigerians.
