Video: News Anchor Reports On China Earthquake In Wedding Dress As Quake Strikes On Her Wedding Day

A news anchor was about to tie the knot before an earthquake ripped through China, forcing her straight into reporter mode as she interviewed shocked locals in her wedding dress.

Chen Ying, who works at a local news station in China, was about to get married when the 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit where her nuptials were taking place.

Ying followed her reporter instincts, wasting no time in grabbing a microphone.

Footage of her walking the streets while interviewing locals in her wedding dress and veil have hit YouTube. Her images also went viral on social media.

The earthquake, which struck China’s Sichuan province, have left at least 156 people dead and more than 5,500 injured.

Saturday morning’s earthquake triggered landslides and disrupted phone and power connections in mountainous Lushan county five years after a devastating quake wreaked widespread damage across the region.

The village of Longmen was hit particularly hard, with authorities saying nearly all the buildings there had been destroyed in a frightening minute-long shaking by the quake.
