2015: PDP Will Displace CPC In Nasarawa State – Assembly Speaker

Tanko-Al-MakuraThe Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Musa Ahmed, said on Thursday that his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, would win the governorship seat in the 2015 general elections.

Mr. Ahmed said this while speaking with journalists in Lafia on his return from legislative studies tour of German, Polish and British parliaments.

He said “with the strong structures of PDP on ground and the thousands of those that decamped from other political parties in the state, we will win the 2015 governorship election.”

“PDP had already built its structures in order to capture its governorship seat in the state come 2015.”

The speaker said that with the “developmental strides” of the previous PDP government, people would vote massively for the party in the 2015 general elections.

“I am appealing to our aggrieved members who left for other political parties, to see the need of returning home,” he said.

He said the required machinery was on ground to ensure level play field to all members “of our great party in the state”.

“I am assuring all those that decamped to PDP of total support and close working relationship as the party is working tirelessly to win the governorship seat in 2015,” he added.

Mr. Ahmed said that the party would build and continue to rebuild its structures for optimal results in the state and the country at large. He said the PDP is not only focusing on the governorship seat but would want to make sure that the party wins all the elections in 2015.

The lawmaker congratulated those that defected to the party last Saturday, saying that they took the right decision at the right time. He also assured the people of the state of quality legislation that would transform their lives for their overall development.

He further condoled with the family of the assembly’s late Sergeant at Arm, Mr. Barnabas Anyuku, describing his death as unfortunate and a great loss to the family and the entire state.

Mr. Ahmed prayed to God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
