Turkish club Fenerbahce has revealed that Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike is one of their transfer targets for the summer.
According to the Istanbul-based club, it is either Emenike or Benfica’s Paragguayan striker, Oscar Cardozo as they move to strengthen their attacking option.
A senior official of the club, Talat Yilmaz, revealed that a negotiations to land either of the Emenike or Cardozo has already commenced and a deal could be struck this week.
“We have already begun negotiations with the agents of Emenike and Cardozo,” Yilmaz told Eurosport.com. “We are speaking to both of them.
“We are negotiating with both and we hope to get one of (the strikers this week).
Emenike, who recently returned from injury, has been firing on all cylinders, netting in two of Spartak Moscow’s three games in the new Russian Premier League season.
He had signed for Fener in 2011 but did not play a single game for the club before moving to Russia to join Spartak Moscow.
