Manchester United manager David Moyes has expressed confidence on the club’s chances of signing a new player before the new season.
United has had two bids for Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas dismissed by the Spanish giants, but Moyes is undecided over the likelihood of tendering a third bid for the former Arsenal midfielder.
“I couldn’t tell you if there will be another bid (for Fabregas),” Moyes said.
“I never at any time said I knew we would get him. We will take stock and consider what we are going to do next.”
Barcelona vice president Josep Maria Bartomeu- at the media presentation of Barca’s new Argentine coach Gerardo Martino- reserved praises for the Spain international and also reiterated the club’s stance that he’s not for sale.
Uruguayan right-back Guillermo Varela has been the Premier League champions’ only summer signing but Moyes believes the club will add to it’s title-winning squad of players before deadline.
“I am quite confident we will add to the squad,” Moyes said.
“But what we have here is a really good squad of players already. You mustn’t forget about quality that is already here at Manchester United.”
