House of Representatives Speaker, Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal on Saturday decried the killing of over twenty students and a teacher at Government Secondary School, Mamudo, in Potiskum, Yobe State by suspected Boko Haram members, describing the act as ‘ignoble, wicked and horrendous.’
According to the Speaker, no reason can be given to justify such dreadful act.
Speaking through his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Imam Imam, in Abuja, Mr. Tambuwal urged the security agencies to fish out perpetrators of the dastardly act and bring them to justice.
He said the gains recorded by security agencies in their onslaught against terror in the country in recent weeks should be built upon in order to protect the citizens at all times.
While expressing sympathy with families of the victims, the Speaker called on Nigerians to be more vigilant and to help security agencies with useful information to help secure their areas even as he called for information that will lead to the arrest of the perpetrators of the killing.
Mr Tambuwal said the National Assembly will, at all times, give necessary support to ensure that peace and security is restored in all parts of the country.
Yobe State is one of the three states under emergency rule imposed by President Goodluck Jonathan in May but of recent has witnessed a spate of attacks on secondary schools in the state by unknown gunmen.
You can not deceive Nigerians because we already know all those who are behind the boko’s…………..
