Ethiopia Already Training for Vital Super Eagles Tie.

The Ethiopian national football team has began preparation for the upcoming 2014 World Cup qualifiers playoff against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

According to sources at the Ethiopian Radio and Television Agency (ERTA); “24 players drawn from member clubs of the national league have already began training for the vital match” which decides one of the five African slots for the Brazil World Cup.

Four professional players, plying their trades abroad, are expected to join the squad in two weeks’ time.

Coach Sewnet Bishaw will name his squad members for the October 12 clash at the end of the training.

“The Ethiopian Football Federation says it will organise two friendly matches for the Walyas Antelopes before the vital game: one with Ghana and another with Cameroon,” Nesru Jemal of ERTA reports.
