The Executive Board of the Nigeria National League (NNL) has confirmed November 6th as the date set aside for the kickoff of the new league season.
Emeka Inyama, who is the chairman of Nigeria’s second-tier football league, disclosed this on Thursday, stressing the importance of early kickoff and its effect on the early conclusion of the football season.
Inyama, who is also an Executive Board member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) revealed that the forthcoming NNL season will witness realistic improvement in terms of management and organisation because of the guidelines and innovations which would be introduced.
“Club officials and other stakeholders will converge for a seminar before the kickoff of the league so that they will be educated on how to make the league meet the expectations of the board,” Inyama said.
He urged the participating teams to adhere by the rules and regulation and promised that efforts to attract sponsors to the NNL have been set in motion.
