The factional National Chairman of the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Abubakar Baraje, has cried out over the withdrawal of all security personnel attached to him saying the move is calculated to expose him to attacks.
Baraje, who said he was raising the alarm to draw public attention to the antics of government, claimed that his life is in danger.
Speaking to PREMIUM TIMES in an exclusive interview yesterday, Baraje said, “My life is now in danger, whatever happens to me now, people should know where it is coming from”.
He added, “I’m now without security protection, and it is a move calculated to make me vulnerable to attacks.”
He also said the withdrawal of his security details was similar to how Rivers state Governor; Rotimi Amaechi’s life was endangered after his security details were replaced without prior notice.
Baraje said by its action, government had put his life and those of his associates at great risk.
