Real Sociedad conceded a late goal against Rayo Vallecano to lose a second successive game following their midweek Champions League loss at Bayern Leverkusen.

Substitute Jonathan Viera scored the match winner in the 89th minute from a spot kick as Vallecano claimed all three points.

He completed his brace in the 62nd minute before Celta Vigo’s Nolito grabbed a consolation goal for his side.

Costa has now scored ten goals from eight league games for the Los Roji Blancos, which finished last season third and are now five points ahead of Real in the second spot.
