Since the video clip of Jim Iyke’s deliverance session at Pastor TB Joshua’s Synagogue Church of All Nations went viral on the Internet, it has been generating a lot of controversies.
While some think it’s genuine, others see it as a publicity gimmick by the actor to revive his career. The Entertainer went to town last week and sampled the opinion of celebrities.
Excerpts:
The deliverance was real –Tee Ma
That’s rubbish. Most Nigerians have bad minds. I was at the Synagogue and I witnessed Jim Iyke’s deliverance; he was delivered of an evil spirit. Those calling it stage managed are insulting the integrity of the Man of God. TB Joshua was not even around when he was delivered. It was the Wise Men specially trained by TB Joshua that performed the deliverance. Those who say it was stage managed are simply ignorant and have bad minds.
A prophet is not respected in his own town-Chief Zebrudaya, actor, New Masquerades
I have been delivered at SCOAN before and I can tell you that Jim Iyke’s deliverance was not stage managed. Whoever is saying that Jim Iyke was paid millions to feign deliverance is obviously ignorant and does not know who TB Joshua is? Those doubting Thomasses should come and experience The Man of God. A prophet is not respected in his own town.
It is none of my business-Gloria Mba, actress
Seriously it’s a personal thing. If the need requires me to do it I will not hesitate but I wouldn’t make it public. Whether it was stage managed or not is none of my business.
I have been delivered myself –Ejiro Okurame
I am not scared of deliverances. I have done deliverance at Mountain of Fire & Miracles Ministry. It is a good step for moving closer to God. There is no public figure as famous as Jesus Christ.
I am not sure Jim Iyke faked it –Emmanuel Naomi, actress
It`s good for one to get delivered from evil spirits when the need arises. I wouldn’t hesitate to go for such if the need be. It is a matter of choice. I am not sure Jim Iyke was faking it; God knows better.
Let God be the judge –Thelma O`khaz
We are all sinners in the eyes of the Lord. I am happy Jim Iyke has found God and is delivered. If I see the need to do that, I will definitely go. If he actually faked it, then we should leave him for God to Judge.
I don’t understand all this –Laide Bakare, actress
I am not a Christian but a Muslim so I don’t understand what this is all about. I am only hearing it now. Really I don’t know what deliverance means.
I am yet to come terms with it –Muma G, actress
I am yet to come to reality with that and I am not sure how real it is.
Deliverance issues are personal –Charles Novia
I’m not insulting anyone. I just feel that ‘deliverance’ issues are personal. It should not be done with cameras and klieg lights. Demon na star?
Segun Arinze blasphemed –Ken Okafor
There is nothing wrong in Jim Iyke going to meet T.B Joshua for deliverance. Anyone of us can go there so people should stop criticizing him for his actions.
Well to me o……i think we should God almighty to judge cos we all are sinners, why are people taking drugs on someone sickness?
people say that SCOAN pays people to come to the public to say things some can’t even confess to a friend. How much would it take for one to confess to be a witch in public knowing the stigma attached to such. Don’t some people know these people, to come and cotradict them. They don’t because it is not staged.Twice a week many people are brought out to be delivered. How much does the SCOAN have in their purse to pay all these people attractive enough to soil their image so deeply after the unprecedented amount put into charity by a church in Nigeria. And if you were TB.Joshua don’t you think these so many live ‘actors’ (unproffessional but acts better than the pros who still forget their script lines and do many takes to get an act right) might reveal his secret one day. That doesn’t happen bcos it’s not staged
