We’ll win NPFL- Anyansi Urges Enyimba Fans to Believe.

Chairman of Enyimba FC, Felix Anyansi, is upbeat about the club’s chances of claiming a league and cup double this season despite trailing Kano Pillars by a point and with two rounds of matches to go.

The ‘People’s Elephant’ are second in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) standings on 59 points from 36 matches and faces a trip to Akure, where they will play Sunshine Stars on Wednesday before ending the season’s campaign at home against Sharks on October 20th.

Anyansi told supersport.com: “I have led this club to six league titles in the past so I know what it takes to win. I am calling on all our fans to believe that we can still do it.”

Kano Pillars only need to win their remaining two fixtures to make a successful Glo Premier League title defence.

The Enyimba chief however banks on the best favourable result from the next two rounds of matches for the Aba-based club to reach the milestone of a record seventh league title.

“If Kano Pillars win their remaining two matches, there is nothing we can do but in football, you cannot afford to think like that,” he added.

“It is never over until it’s over. I have a strong belief that we will win the title if we get good results in our last two games of the season.”
