The singles draw ceremony for next week’s ATP World Tour Championships billed for London’s O2 Arena took place on Saturday at the venue of the tournament.
2010 runners-up and world number one Rafael Nadal leads Group A of the season finale involving the eight best players of the 2013 season. Nadal will be competing at the O2 Arena for the first time since 2011.
The 27-year-old Spaniard has been drawn against 2007 finalist and compatriot David Ferrer, Tomas Berdych and first-time qualifier Stanislas Wawrinka.
Group B has Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, the pair who are set to lock horns in the semi-finals of the Paris Masters later on Saturday. 2009 runners-up Juan Martin Del Potro and Richard Gasquet completes group B.
While Federer will be looking for his seventh ATP World Tour Finals title, Djokovic, who won last year’s championship at the expense of the Swiss, will be looking to record his third victory- his first was back in 2008 when he defeated Fernando Verdasco in Shanghai.
The tournament which begins next Monday starts with round-robin matches before the two best players from each group proceeds into the semi-finals.
