Kogi Students Commiserate With ASUU Over Iyayi’s Death

The President of the National Association of Kogi Students, Mr Abubakar Shuaib, has expressed sympathy with the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU over the death of Prof. Festus Iyayi.

Speaking to newsmen, Friday, in Lokoja, , Shuaib said that the association received the news of the death of Iyayi with shock.

He however urged the leadership of ASUU not to see the death of the great professor as an end to negotiation on the strike.

He prayed God to grant the families of Iyayi and Nigerians the fortitude to bear the loss.

Urging ASUU to find a lasting solution to the strike, Shuaib said, “if there was no strike, the professor would not have died.”

Shuaib also prayed for Gov. Idris Wada, saying that the governor would never have any course to be involved in an accident again. [NAN]
