MultiChoice to Take 60 Nigerians for 2014 World Cup.

The Multichoice Nig. Ltd., owners of DSTV, on Saturday promised to take 60 Nigerians to Brazil to watch the 2014 FIFA World Cup fiesta.

The company’s General Manager (Marketing and Sales), Martin Mabutho, gave the assurance in an interactive session with newsmen in Lagos.

According to Mabutho, Multichoice is committed to meeting the expectations of its customers.

He said that taking 60 customers to watch the tournament was part of the expectations.

“We are interested in satisfying our customers by organising a promo where our customers pay their monthly subscriptions and automatically have a chance to win tickets to Brazil.

“We are also going to reduce our price of purchasing the DSTV decoder from N27,000 to N15,000, ” he said.

Mabutho said that the company would be willing to do more to promote sports and entertainment in Nigeria, where it had operated successfully for 20 years .

“Multichoice Nig. Plc is the foremost sponsor of the elite men basketball competitions; we also televise the Nigerian Glo Premier League to football fans across the African continent.

“In the area of educating and reaching the rural communities, we have embarked on installing 254 resource centres in 10 Nigerian states.” he said.

He gave the assurance that Multichoice would increase the number of the centres to more than 300 by March, 2014.
