Golden Eaglets players have once more drawn interest from one of the European clubs following their superlative outing at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in the UAE.
Nigeria’s scorer of five goals, Taiwo Awoniyi, headlines the list of Eaglets stars who are presently being touted by Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk. The others are skipper Musa Muhammed, Samuel Okon and Musa Yahaya.
“Shakhtar are ready to break the bank for four of the Eaglets- Awoniyi, captain Musa Muhammed, Samuel Okon and Musa Yahaya,” a top official of the Ukrainian champions told MTNFootball.com.
Eaglets skipper Mohammed, who has scored twice in the ongoing tournament, alongside has also sparked interest in England; so also Yahaya who is presently in the books of clubs in England and Spain.
Defender Okon was a late addition to coach Manu Garba’s men and did not feature at the African Youth Championship in Morocco. He has gone on to score twice in the ongoing tournament.
Ex-Eagles striker Julius Agahowa once played for Shakhtar Donetsk in his hay days.
