The new Nigeria National League (NNL) season has been scheduled to kick-off on January 25, 2014.
This was made public according to a communique released after the NNL congress in Abuja on Thursday.
Part of the decisions reached at the NNL Assembly stated that the division two league will be incorporated as a limited liability company in line with global practice and all participating clubs are also expected to be limited liability companies latest March 2014.

As usual, the 32-team league will be split into two zones of A and B with the top two teams from each of these groups gaining promotion to the top flight at the end of the season.
A special designed match ball will be introduced in the forthcoming season.
