Manchester United boss Manuel Pellegrini says he believes Sergio Aguero is a more complete player than his South American counterpart Luis Suarez.
Suarez sits at the top of the Premier League goalscorers’ chart on 13 goals, two more than Aguero’s strike rate so far in the ongoing season.
“Suarez is a very important striker, but I think Sergio participates more in the game,” Pellegrini said.
The Chilean tactician is delighted by the Argentina international striker’s improvements and his work-rate; notably, his off-the-ball contribution.
“Sergio is just 25 years old, so I think of course he can improve. I think this year he has improved a lot in the way he works during matches,” added Pellegrini.
“He has always been a top player and he has always scored goals, but I think at this moment, he has added working for the team without the ball, which is alos important for him.”
City are currently third on the league standing, six points behind league leaders, Arsenal, ahead of their trip to Southampton on Saturday.
