The First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, on Monday condoled with the Senate President, Sen. David Mark on the death of his sister, Mrs Mary Adakole
Mrs Jonathan also condoled with the Oba of Benin, Oba Erediauwa, on the death of his first wife, Queen Esther Erediauwa.
Adakole was buried on Dec. 17, while Queen Esther Erediauwa died on Jan. 18.
In a statement signed by Mrs Ayotunde Adesugba, a Director of Information in the Presidency, the first lady prayed for fortitude for both families.
“I urge the immediate and extended families of the Adakole and Mark to be comforted by the good legacy Mrs Adakole left as a conscientious, dependable and peace-loving individual.
“The late queen performed her royal duties with grace and compassion. She was indeed a great gift to us all and will be greatly missed”. (NAN)
