Keshi Needs More Hands to Peak- Supporters’ Club President, Ladipo

The President of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Rauf Ladipo, has said Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, needs more hands to help him perform effectively.

Dr. Ladipo disclosed this days after President Goodluck Jonathan donated N50m [$305k] to the national team supportes’ club ahead of their forthcoming trip to the 2014 Brazil World Cup.

He stated that the technical crew of African champions need to be bolstered ahead the World Cup, with the addition of a few more experienced staff. He however warned against the imposition of anyone on Keshi, advising that the former coach of Mali should be allowed to pick a tactician of his choice.

“Steven Keshi has done very well, but he still needs two or three people to help him read the game because he cannot see everything by himself,” Ladipo told State House correspondents on Wednesday.

“But nobody should force down anybody on him. He should be allowed to make his decision.”

The Nigeria Football Federation has since debunked rumours it was planning to hire a foreign technical assistant for the Afcon 2013-winning coach.
