The rate at which jungle justice is being carried out by members of society in Ilorin has made the Kwara State Police Command to dispatch undercover agents to apprehend anybody who tries to lynch any suspect.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Ajayi Okasanmi, who confirmed the latest episode of lynching in the state, noted that the command was now prepared to enforce its earlier warning against lynching of people, who may later be found to be innocent.

He stated that the command would not hesitate deal with perpetrators of jungle justice.

His position was earlier strengthened by the Police Commissioner in Kwara, Mr. Ambrose Aisabor, who Wednesday, warned residents against taking laws into their hands.

Mr. Aisabor also warned the residents against attacking people, who may be having mental challenges, but could be mistaken for ritualist.
