The National Mathematical Centre (NMC) is a world-class centre of excellence for Research and Training in the mathematical sciences in Nigeria and Africa. It was established by decree No 4 of 1989 (Cap 58 of the Federation), to promote the teaching and teaming of Mathematics of all levels of Nigerian educational system. Its Head office is located at Sheda, Kwali, Abuja with Mathematics Improvement Programmes (MIP) established in some states of the federation.
Its activities are carried out in various states of the nation, through the efforts of State Facilitating teams in conjunction with MIP officers in the states.
Position: RegistrarÂ
The Position
The Registrar is the Chief Administrative officer responsible to the Director/Chief Executive, for the day to day administration of me Centre. By virtue of this position, the Registrar is the Secretary to Council, the Academic Board and other committees of Council.
The Person
The candidate should have over all and in depth knowledge of and wide exposure to the running of a Tertiary institution, He/ She should be a person of integrity and trust with proven professional and communication proficiency and should be capable of steering the administrate ship of the Registry.
Qualification
An applicant for the position of Registrar should have a good bachelors degree from a recognized University with at least 15 years of post qualification working experience in a University or related institutions, of which no less than three (3) years should have been in the position of Deputy Registrar or its equivalent.
A higher degree with professional training and membership of Professional bodies would be added advantage.
Condition of Service
Conditions of Service are as obtainable in Federal Government Universities and inter University Institutions with added incentives as may be determined by Council.
