Liverpool have confirmed Daniel Sturridge may yet be fit to play at Norwich City’s Carrow Road on Sunday.
The striker limped off in the 66th minute of the 3-2 win over Manchester City last weekend.
The Anfield club said in a statement: “Sturridge has since undergone further assessment with the club’s medical team at Melwood and a small strain was detected following a scan.

“The 24-year-old will now undergo a treatment programme in order to try and be available for the trip to Carrow Road.”
Sturridge, who joined the ‘Reds’ from Chelsea in 2013, is the second highest Premier League goal-scorer this season with 20 strikes. He trails teammate Luis Suarez by nine goals.
