Chelsea assistant manager Rui Faria has been handed a six-match stadium ban for his altercation with official during last month’s 2-1 home loss to Sunderland.
The Portuguese had to be restrained from confronting referee Mike Dean after the ‘Black Cats’ were awarded a penalty which turned out match winner.
He watched the remainder of the match from the stands following that incidence and latter admitted two charges of misconduct.
His ban will cover Chelsea’s two remaining matches this season and the first four fixtures of the next season, though he has the right to appeal.
He has also been fined £30,000.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is contesting his own misconduct charge following the defeat on April 19, after congratulating referee Dean and head of the Premier League referee body (PGMOL) Mike Riley.
Midfielder Ramires received a four-game ban following the same fixture, after being found guilty by a an FA disciplinary committee who viewed footage of an off-the-ball incident with Sebastian Larsson- where he elbowed the defender.
