Ikhana Named Giwa FC Boss

Ex-Super Falcons coach Khadiri Ikhana is named manager of Glo Premier League new boys Giwa FC following weeks of speculations.

The 62-year-old veteran manager succeeds ousted Abdullahi Biffo at the helm of the Rwang Pam Stadium.

Head of Marketing at the Jos-based club, Sammy Adesoji, disclosed to AfricanFootball.com, that the former Kano Pillars and Enyimba coach has been unveiled at the club’s training ground in Kuru.

The coach will be assisted by Friday Christopher, who was FC Abuja’s manager last season.

Ikhana helped Nasarawa United retain their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) status last season, but resigned from his position at the end of the 2012/13 campaign.

Giwa are 11th in the league table with 21 points from 14 matches.
