Super Eagles Head Coach Stephen Keshi and members of his technical crew are expected to depart Nigeria on Sunday for London, where the senior national side have been scheduled to play an international friendly match against Scotland.
According to the Assistant Director, Communications of the NIgeria Football Federation (NFF), Ademola Olajire, the team would travel aboard British Airways.
“The team will depart from Abuja aboard British Airways in the morning of Sunday, May 25,” says Olajire.
“They will get to London in the evening and will stay at the Hilton Cobham Hotel.
Nigeria play Coach Gordon Strachan’s Scotland at Fulham’s home ground Craven Cottage on May 28.
Olajire adds that the five invited home-based players for the Eagles training camp will travel with the technical crew, while the foreign-based professionals link up with the team in the capital city.
The invited home-based players include goalkeepers Chigozie Agbim and Daniel Akpeyi, defenders Azubuike Egwuekwe and Kunle Odunlami as well as midfielder, Ejike Uzoenyi.
Olajire also disclosed that the team would depart London the day after the friendly encounter for Philadelphia, USA, ahead of a World Cup Warm-up against Greece on June 3.
He further stated that the team departs Philadelphia for Florida, for another warm-up against the USMNT on June 7 at Jacksonville.
According to the spokesman, the team finally leaves the USA on June 10 for Sao Paulo, Brazil, for the World Cup where they will base for their group matches.
“Everything concerning the team’s movement and stay both in the US and Brazil have been sorted out,” Olajire added.
