Sambo Visits Bomb Blast Scene, Urges People To Resume Normal Duties

Vice President Namadi Sambo has visited Emab plaza, Wuse II, scene of Wednesday bomb blast that claimed 21 lives and injured 17 others.

Sambo declared that no matter the evil machinations of terrorist group, Boko Haram, terror would not thrive in the country.

The vice president extended condolences to the families of the victims of the bomb blast, urging Nigerians to be extra security conscious and vigilant.

Sambo called on Nigerians to cooperate with security agencies in their determined efforts at tackling crime and criminality in the country.

“Mr President (Jonathan) will not leave any stone unturned until we defeat these terrorists. We are doing everything possible to ensure … it (Boko Haram) will become a thing of the past,” he told the victims and reporters on the scene.

“I want to also urge us to resume our normal duties, our normal services, and to cooperate with the administration so that we jointly succeed in solving this problem,” he added.
