New Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has excluded Brazilian midfielder Anderson from his pre-season tour squad.
The 26-year-old, who only featured in eight games in the first half of last season, before a loan spell at Italian club Fiorentina, was not on board the team’s flight to the United States of America (USA) on Friday morning.
But new signings Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera are included in the 25-man party for the USA tour sponsored by Aon.
The Old Trafford club will face La Galaxy in the Chevrolet Cup on July 23 before playing AS Roma and Inter Milan, both in the International Championship Cup on July 26 and 29 respectively.
They play their final ICC preliminary game against European champions Real Madrid on August 2.
