Ecuador striker Enner Valencia is set to join West ham United from Mexican club Pachuca.
The 24-year-old flew in to London on Saturday and has undergone a medical at West Ham, according to the Press Association Sport.
Valencia, who impressed during the 2014 Fifa World Cup, would become manager Sam Allardyce’s fifth signing of the summer and is expected to pen down a five year contract, with the ‘Hammers’ and Pachuca understood to have agreed a £12m deal for the forward.
Valencia scored all three of Ecuador’s goals in Brazil and has attracted interest from a host of Premier League sides, following his country’s group stage elimination.
Allardyce is keen to boost his options in the attack and has moved swiftly to bring in the Ecuadorian to partner record-signing Andy Carroll.
Mauro Zarate, Aaron Cresswell, Cheikhou Kouyate and Diego Poyet have all moved in similar direction this summer.
Valencia has scored seven times in 13 Ecuador caps.
