Enyimba International FC midfielder Kingsley Sokari will to join the training camp of Nigeria U-20 team Abuja, says coach Manu Garba.
The talented youngster caught the attention of the Flying Eagles coach after an impressive performance in his side’s 3-1 Federation Cup win over Sokoto North FC last week.
Sokari scored a goal and created another, as the defending champions came back from behind to clinch victory and advance into the round of 32.
“He looked good against Sokoto North FC in a Federation Cup we watched,” said coach Garba. “He has therefore been given a chance to fight for a place in the Flying Eagles.”
El-Kanemi FC coach Salisu Yusuf, who gave Sokari his first big break last season while at the helm of the six-time Nigeria league champions, recommended the player to Garba.
“He’s a match-winner, who can add value to the Flying Eagles,” added Yusuf.
