Atletico Madrid have signed striker Mario Mandzukic from Bayern Munich for an undisclosed fee.
The Croatian international has penned a four-year deal with the Spanish champions.
Atletico recently sold Diego Costa, who scored 36 goals in 51 games last season, to Chelsea and have sought to replace the Spaniard.
Bayuern Sporting Director Matthias Sammer revealed on Wednesday that the 28-year-old will be leaving the Bundeliga champions.
“We thank Mario for two great years here in Munich,” said Bayern deputy chief executive Jan-Chrietian Dreesen.
Mandzukic scored 33 goals in 54 games for Bayern after joining them from Wolfsburg in 2012.
He featured for Croatia at this summer’s World Cup, scoring twice in their 4-0 group stage win over Cameroon. Croatia failed to reach the knockout stage of the World Cup.
