Three security men, were on yesterday, brought before an Igbosere Magistrate’s court, for stealing properties worth N10 million from their employer.
36-year-old Benedict Abah, David Abah, 26 and Asukwo Aniekpeno Effiong, 28, are facing a two count charge, bordering on conspiracy and stealing, preferred against them by the police. The security men however pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge against them.
The prosecutor, Michael Kokoye, told the court that the defendants conspired amongst themselves, with others still at large, to commit the alleged offence.
He said the incident took place on July 26, 2014, at about 2am, at 15, Prince Taiwo Sesanya street, in Parkview Estate, Ikoyi.
According to Kokoye, the defendants stole four 42 inches plasma Television, one internet machine and gold jewelleries, all valued at N10 million.
The prosecutor, said that the stolen properties, belongs to their boss, one Mrs Adeleke. He said the offences are punishable under sections, 409 and 285 (10) of the criminal law of Lagos state of Nigeria, 2011.
Magistrate O.Olanipekun granted them bail, in the sum of N500,000, a responsible surety each, in like sum, adding that a sum of N100,000, should be deposited in the account of the court registrar.
The magistrarte further adjourned the matter, till August 29, for mention.
