Congo to Arrive Nigeria for Afcon Qualifier on Friday

Congo FA has confirmed will fly to Calabar via a chartered flight on Friday for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Nigeria on Saturday.

The Super Eagles hosts coach Claude Leroy’s side at the UJ Esuene Stadium in the first of their group stage qualification series.

The ‘Diables Rouges’ had for most of the week kept the African champions in the dark regarding their travel plans, after raising their concerns with the recent ebola virus outbreak in the country.

Nigeria complained to the Confederation of African Football (Caf) about the situation, before they were made privy on the Congolese’s travel arrangements and other logistical details.
