Milton Keynes (MK) Dons midfielder Bamidele Alli has signed a new improved deal at the Football League club expected to run until June 2017, but might not see out the contract.
The England Under-19 international has been linked with a move to several top flight English clubs this season but wants to remain committed to the ‘Dons’.
“My focus is solely on playing for the Dons,” he said. “I’m a Milton Keynes boy so I couldn’t be happier representing my local team.”
He has scored three goals in nine appearances this season, as well as putting up a standout performance in the 4-0 League Cup win over Manchester United last month.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is a keen admirer of the 17-year-old, whose coach Karl Robinson admits “there will be a time when we will have to let him go”.
