Adejobi said contrary to reports that late Isokpehi was a retired Assistant Commissioner of Police, the officer retired as Assistant Superintendent of Police, adding that he did not kill his son.

“We are still investigating the immediate and remote causes of the tragic incident. We will find out whether the man was depressed or was under any influence, because a normal human being will not open fire on his wife and then kill himself.

“We will investigate how he got the double-barrelled gun he used to commit the dastardly act.”

He said Isokpehi retired in March from the Special Anti-Robbery Squad unit, Lagos Police Command, and was living in Eledi area in Ado Odo/Ota Local Government.
