Schalke’s Draxler Out of Germany’s Euro Qualifier

The German Football Federation (DFB) have announced that midfielder Julian Draxler is sidelined for Saturday’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Poland in Warsaw with flu.

The 21-year-old Schalke playmaker joins a list of absentees which includes Bastian Schweinsteiger, Sami Khedira, Benedikt Howedes, Marco Reus and Mario Gomez.

Coach Joachim Low has yet to make a decision on bringing in a replacement for Draxler, who is also uncertain for next Tuesday’s qualifier against Ireland in Gelsenkirchen.
