Invited Foreign-Based U-20 Get January 15 Deadline To Resume Camp

Nine foreign-based players invited to the Nigeria U-20 provisional squad for the 2015 African Youth Championship have been handed a January 15 deadline to arrive in camp.

The foreign-based professionals are Kelechi Iheanacho, Chidiebere Nwakali, Isaac Success, Chidera Eze, Musa Muhammed, Kingsley Madu, Moses Simon, Taiwo Awoniyi and Musa Yahaya.

“All invitation have been sent out to the foreign pros we need for the AYC and we have given them a deadline of January 15 to join us in Kaduna,” Flying Eagles secretary Auwal Aliyu Ibrahim said.

“So far we have received assurances from their various clubs that they will be available for the tournament in Senegal.”

The Flying Eagles training camp in Kaduna re-opens on Saturday after the Christmas break.

Nigeria have been drawn alongside hosts Senegal, Congo and Ivory Coast in Group A of the 2015 AYC, scheduled to start March 8 and end 22. They open their campaign against Senegal on March 8.
