Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an Offshore Installation Manager on a rotational basis located offshore Nigeria deep water location.

The successful candidate will be responsible to the Asset Manager for the safe and efficient operation of all activities on MOPU/WFB platform and FSO

Main Duties:

Plan and control the safe and efficient operation of the installation to meet the requirements and criteria set out in the Operational Safety Case, policies, procedures and the Safety Management System
Ensure the quality of processed and exported crude oil meets recommended specification and regulatory standards
Ensure that operational and production activities are carried out in accordance with company policy, legislation and principles of good practice including the company’s code of business ethics
Ensure sufficient competent persons are assigned offshore, and sponsor necessary learning and development for permanent and stand-in positions
Acts as PIC in SIMOPS operations for the field
Responsible for welfare of the offshore crew/team
Ensures optimal performance of Christmas Tree and other wellhead platform equipment
Monitors shutdown maintenance jobs and ensures availability of all equipment on FPU
In charge of marine logistics, monitors requests for utilities and other requests (e.g. chemicals)
Collates and reviews all filed process and well data from contractors and send the daily operations report and other reports to relevant parties
Ensure routine and statutory well tests are performed and accurately reported
Incident Controller for offshore emergency management and preparedness

Emergency Response Tasks:

Assume command in an emergency and coordinate the onboard emergency response with external agencies and support services.
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of all personnel onboard the installation
Ensure an adequate organisation, capable of dealing with emergency situations, is in place and maintained in a state of preparedness through the use of appropriate drills and exercises
Responsible for managing and reporting the environmental performance of the installation Investigate and properly report all near misses, incidents and non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Cost Management:

Participate in budget and expenditure forecasting
Lead facility cost control for OPEX / CAPEX, and assign authority for expenditure
Communications/Reporting:
Be conversant with legal obligations, company policies and procedures applicable to the work activities and maintain current knowledge of same
Support interface management with the licensee and the installation majority owner

Team Working:

Ensure that all offshore personnel have adequate information and resources to enable them to carry out their functions safely and efficiently and that suitable and sufficient control measures are properly applied
Innovations/Knowledge Transfer:
Support team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices

Supervisory and Managerial Duties:

Advanced communication skills, verbal and written
Broad knowledge of change management principles and techniques
Demonstrable leadership capabilities
Proven conflict management and team building ability
Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of all personnel onboard the installation
Lead Offshore Management Team
Contribute to personnel selection
Carry out annual appraisal of your team to the required timetable and continually monitor their performance.
Supervise O&M Contractors and Third Party Vendors
Liaise with government and regulatory bodies as necessary

Job Requirements

Candidates require;

Broad knowledge of offshore operations with a comprehensive understanding of company and legislative requirements
Relevant supervisory experience.
FPSO experience
Strong well operations background
Must have ongoing OIM training
Good proficiency with MS Office suite Excel/PP, Word
Good communications skills
Fully assessed (or capable of being assessed) in Management of Major emergencie
Proven co-ordination and facilitation skills
Excellent communications ability (written and verbal) at all levels within organisation
Capable of representing the company to relevant outside bodies
10 – 15 years relevant experience
BOSIET/HUET certified

Engineering / science degree, advanced marine qualification, or equivalent

B.Sc in Engineering (min of second class lower)
