Borussia Dortmund midfielder Sven Bender will be sidelined for a month after having surgery on his right knee on Friday, according to the Bundesliga club.
Bender sustained the injury during training with the Bundesliga outfit. He is expected to at least miss his club’s first match on return from the winter break at Leverkusen on January 31.
Dortmund are in the relegation zone in the table with just 15 points.
