The Inspector-General of Police, Suleiman Abba says the force was ready to tackle all security challenges that may arise ahead qof the forthcoming general elections.
Abba said this, Monday, in a statement signed by the force Spokesman, Emmanuel Ojukwu.

He also stressed the determination of the force to take “all lawful measures to ensure the safety of Nigerians at all times.”
He disclosed that the police and other security agencies had been deployed strategically nationwide to ensure Nigerians enjoy relative peace.
Abba also assured Nigerians who had travelled for the festive season of their safety and security as they return to their various destinations nationwide.
