Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is a doubt for Saturday’s trip to Queens Park Rangers (QPR) in the Barclays Premier League.
Van Persie was substituted during the defeat by Southampton at Old Trafford last Sunday with an ankle injury but manager Louis van Gaal says it is not a serious problem following scans on Monday.
Van Gaal would not confirm whether his countryman would be fit to play at Loftus Road, but told MUTV: “we shall see”.
He said: “It’s not worse. Only (that) Van Persie is maybe injured but it is a minor injury. I don’t think it’s a great problem.”

Van Persie has scored 8 goals in 17 appearances this season and is the club’s joint-leading scorer with Wayne Rooney.
